STANDARDIZATION

The most relevant standardization bodies for the FIGARO work are the BroadBand Forum, Home Gateway Initiative (HGI), Universal Plug and Play Forum (UPnP Forum), Digital Life Networking Alliance (DLNA), CENELEC Smart House, Digital Video Broadcast (DVB), Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and IEEE. Industrial partners in the project have a strong position in one or more of these bodies.

Other relevant bodies where the partners are active include the European Telecommunications Standards Institute on Telecommunications and Internet converged Services and Protocols for Advanced Networking (ETSI TISPAN), and the Open Internet Protocol TeleVision Forum (Open IPTV Forum).
